Wide Grip position for all Core exercises.
Sit Ups
Abs
Lying on a mat, hold the MUTT Bar in front of you with your arms straight, holding the wide grip. Raise your upper body by contracting your abs and moving the weight toward your feet until you are in a sitting position. Lower back down to the starting position. For more of a challenge, start and end with your arms extended out above your head.
Crunches
Abs
Lying on a mat, hold the MUTT Bar in front of you with your arms straight, holding the wide grip. Raise your upper body only until your lower back is off the ground by contracting your abs and moving the weight slightly toward your feet. Lower back down to the starting position. For less of a challenge, hold the Bar close to your chest.
Oblique Twists
Mid and upper back, shoulders
In a sitting position on the ground with your knees bent, hold the MUTT Bar in front of your chest using the wide grip. Turn your torso to the right, lowering the Bar toward the ground. Straighten back up to the starting position, then turn to the other side and repeat.
