The MUTT Weighted Vest puts twenty pounds of cast iron on your body and stays out of the way of the two places a vest usually gets in it: your shoulder blades and your chest. The patented design clears both, so your arms travel through a full range with the weight on.

Where it earns its place.

At the bottom of a squat, the vest sits tight and the plates stay put. At the top of a chin-up, your shoulder blades move under the back plate instead of against it. On a wall ball, you reach full extension with nothing catching at the shoulder. On a run, the weight rides on your body, not on your breath. Twenty pounds is the men’s standard for vested work in competition training. It is also enough to change a set of anything without changing how you move.

The iron.

A weighted vest takes more abuse than anything else you own. It carries the load on every rep, grinds the floor on burpees and crawls, and soaks up sweat session after session. So the shell is 1000 denier nylon, the fabric rugged packs and tactical gear are cut from. The shoulder straps are 2 inch seatbelt webbing with a 6,000 lb break strength, wrapped in 3/8 inch closed cell padding. Military grade hook and loop locks the cummerbund down, and a retention strap keeps the plates where you put them. No shortcuts.

Fit.

One vest, 4 cummerbund sizes. The cummerbund wraps your torso at the bottom of the sternum and locks down with hook and loop. The shoulder straps adjust on every vest, so your size choice comes down to one measurement. Select size at checkout.
